The Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB) publishes on a delayed daily basis the trade history of all municipals that traded four or more time during the day. This trade information is optionally made available to users based on the group or audience. This information can be useful for evaluating the price of a current offering against the price at which it has recently been trading in the market.

This information is available to search online by two methods. When viewing the Bond Detail page for a specific bond, the 'MSRB History' link may be available. Click on this link to view the recent MSRB history for this specific CUSIP.

The MSRB trade history may also be access by selecting 'Municipal' from the Quick Navigation menu and then selecting the 'MSRB History' option from the left-hand services menu. A form is displayed that contains a field for entry of the CUSIP and a drop-down list for limiting the time span of the trade data returned. Fill in the desired CUSIP, select the time limit, and press the 'Find MSRB' button to search the available trade data.

A search performed by either of the above two methods displays below the search fields a brief description of the security and the list of historical trades for this security. The information shown for each trade includes the quantity, trade date, trade type (Customer Sell, Customer Buy, or Dealer to Dealer) and the price and yield at which the trade took place.
