The query forms for the different security types contain several different sections that allow filtering of offerings using checkboxes. Normally, a user would select one or more of these checkboxes to include only the offerings that match those attribute selected. If none of the checkboxes are selected, the query will not filter out any of the offerings based on these attributes.

Many of these sections also contain an 'Exclude' checkbox below the other selections. When the 'Exclude' box is checked, it reverses the behavior of the selections above. All of the items selected will then be excluded instead of included in the query results.

For example, to exclude Financial issues from a query of the corporate bond offerings, check the box next to 'Financial' and then check the 'Exclude' box. When the query is executed, no offerings for bonds in the 'Financial' industry group are included.
