Often there may be a need to search for an offering on a specific bond. Every individual bond is uniquely identified by a CUSIP number. The CUSIP field on the query form may be used to enter a full or partial CUSIP number. Offerings on the system that have a CUSIP matching the value entered are returned by the query is executed.

This can be used, for example, to find a list of all of the New York bond offerings on the system by entering '649652' in the CUSIP field. The first six characters of a CUSIP uniquely identify an issuer and '649652' is the issuer portion of the CUSIP for New York State.
